The Pan American Federation of Engineering Societies is the organization that promotes the integration of engineering associations of the Pan American region with the mission of contributing actively in the economic and social development of countires, in the areas related to the engineering exercise.
It was created on July 20, 1949, with the engineering corps of 16 Pan American countries. Currently, UPADI has a total of 31 member organizations and Spain as an observer. It is headquartered in San Jose, Costa Rica since 2009 where it will remain until 2012.
